Januar 2012, 18 - 21 Uhr Bernd und Hilla Becher, Matthew Buckingham, Susanne Bürner, Jan Dibbets, Chris Durham, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Andreas Gursky, Candida Höfer, Axel Hütte, Sofia Hultén, Wolfgang Laib, Richard Long, Simone Nieweg, Thomas Ruff, Gregor Schneider, Ursula Schulz-Dornburg, Thomas Struth, Petra Wunderlich Die Ausstellung „Stadt und Land“ präsentiert Fotografien, deren Motive sich auf die vielfältigen Schnittstellen von Landschaft und Architektur konzentrieren. Obgleich Landschaft und Architektur schon immer zu den klassischen Sujets der Fotografie zählten, haben doch insbesondere Fotografen aus dem Umfeld der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf gerade durch thematische Verschränkung beider Sujets dieses Genre auf besondere Weise neu definiert. Zugleich soll dieses Spektrum um Beiträge von Künstlern der Galerie erweitert werden, die neben dem Fokus auf Skulptur und Installation immer wieder auch fotografische Arbeiten innerhalb ihres Oeuvres präsentieren.
Opening: Friday, January 20, 2012, 6 - 9 pm The exhibition „City and Country“ presents photographs concentrating on the multifaceted interfaces between landscape and urban scape. Though landscape and architecture rank among the classic subjects of the medium photography, particularly photographers at Dusseldorf Academy of Arts contributed to a new definition of this artistic topic. In addition to well-known works from the so-called Dusseldorf School of Photography, we present photo works by artists represented by Konrad Fischer Galerie primarily focussing on sculpture and installation. |
